| Event | | Santa & Holiday Festivities | | Saturday, November 29, 2008 |  Join us on Saturday, November 29 beginning at 3:00 pm for live holiday music downtown and holiday shopping.
Santa arrives at 5:30 pm via fire truck to light the Borough of Somerville's tree accompanied by live holiday music and free gingerbread cookies from The Dessert Plate from kids. The holiday tree is located at Borough Hall, 25 West End Avenue.
Afterwards follow Santa downtown for free horse and carriage rides with him, live music until 9:00 pm, a chain saw ice carver, and other festivities. Stores will be open late for holiday shopping.
